The Aggie Moms Scholarship and Resource Foundation (AMSRF) was founded in 2025 by Michelle Middleton, a proud Aggie mom and community leader, to enrich the lives of students at North Carolina A&T State University. AMSRF is a community-centered organization dedicated to providing scholarships, emergency support, critical resources, and wellness programming tailored to the unique needs of Aggie students. We also serve as advocates for families, focusing on nurturing student success, building resilience, and advancing educational equity.

As a new foundation, AMSRF is carving out a vital role by addressing the gaps that many students and families face in navigating college life. By bridging community support with educational opportunity, AMSRF seeks to empower the next generation of leaders and make a lasting impact on the HBCU community.

We provide scholarships, emergency support, essential resources, and wellness programs specifically designed for the unique needs of HBCU students, all made possible through the active engagement and support of parents and families.

Michelle Middleton

Founder & President

Aggie Moms Scholarship and Resource Foundation (AMSRF)

Michelle Middleton is a Senior ERP Solutions Architect and Implementation Consultant with more than 13 years of experience leading technology transformations across healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, and rental industries. With a strong academic foundation in Business Management and Business Administration, she continues to advance her expertise as a current student in North Carolina A&T State University’s Business Information Technology program. This lifelong learning approach reflects her deep belief in education as both a personal and professional cornerstone.

Throughout her career, Michelle has designed and led full-cycle ERP implementations, developed scalable training programs, and empowered organizations to streamline processes and embrace innovation. Her work has been recognized for reducing onboarding time, strengthening adoption, and ensuring long-term operational success. 

Her dedication to higher education and community impact is deeply personal. As the mother of Joshua, an NC A&T alumnus and electrical engineer, Michelle has seen firsthand the transformative power of education and the importance of strong support systems for students. That experience, along with her own upbringing in Kinston, NC, inspired her to create the Aggie Moms Scholarship and Resource Foundation (AMSRF). 

In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Michelle is the founder of Travel With a Purpose, LLC, a boutique travel business that curates journeys blending luxury with meaningful experiences. Through this venture, she extends her passion for building connections, fostering community, and creating unforgettable memories. 

Through AMSRF, Michelle is committed to providing scholarships, emergency support, and vital resources to students and families at HBCUs, beginning with her beloved North Carolina A&T. Her vision is to build a supportive community where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and financially, ensuring that the next generation of leaders has the tools to succeed. 

Our Team

Sarian Turner

Vice President

Sarian Turner resides in Durham, NC, and is a 1995 graduate of UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. She brings over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. With a strong foundation in system analysis, programming, and application support, she has consistently delivered innovative technical solutions across a wide range of sectors.

Her extensive knowledge and expertise have made her a valuable asset in driving technological advancement and strategic growth. In addition to her accomplished IT career, Sarian is a dynamic leader actively involved in various community initiatives. Her talents span in community service, event planning, and leadership development. She is passionate about giving back and regularly engages in volunteer work whenever time permits. Outside of her professional and community commitments, Sarian enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son, who is set to graduate next year from NC A&T. She also loves to travel both domestically and internationally, allowing her to explore new cultures and broaden her global perspective. 

Jo Allen

Treasurer

Jo Allen, AVP and Trust Tax Officer, a seasoned professional with 26 years in the financial industry. Residing in Ellenwood, Georgia, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Jo is passionate about mentoring and giving back, proudly serving as an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she continues to uplift and inspire others.

She is happily married and the proud mother of her daughter, Kennedy, a junior at North Carolina A&T State University. Jo’s life is guided by a commitment to service, leadership, and empowering those around her. Values she carries into every aspect of her personal and professional journey. 

Karlette Dandy-Brewster

Secretary

Karlette Dandy-Brewster is an Applications Systems Analyst in the government sector with over two decades of public service, a licensed NC Real Estate Broker, and a Bail Bondsman.

She is a passionate advocate for education and is also a visionary founder—creating Our Village Pathways to College to help students navigate admissions and thrive in higher education, and establishing the Dandy Endowment Scholarship to close funding gaps for extracurricular activities at her alma mater, Hillside High School, the oldest of five remaining Historically Black High Schools in North Carolina. Her commitment to education extends to her role as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Aggie Moms Scholarship and Resource Foundation, in which she is one of seven North Carolina A&T University mothers who have created a community-centered organization that is dedicated to the success and well-being of the students of NC A & T University. 

Karlette’s proudest role is being mom to three brilliant and talented children: Kala, a Purdue graduate; Dizni, a Spelman alumna, now studying law at Pepperdine; and James, a senior at NC A&T University. After dedicating years to her children’s success, she is pursuing her own academic journey as a senior at Fayetteville State University, set to graduate in Spring 2026 with a degree in Information Systems Business Analytics–Cloud Computing, with plans to continue through to her doctorate. 

Charisse Ward

Director of Student Affairs

My name is Charisse Ward, and I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. A proud graduate of Michigan State University, I built my career in the health insurance industry, specializing in Information Technology. In 2011, I relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, seeking a fresh environment and new opportunities for both personal and professional growth.

Over the years, I have continued to expand my expertise while embracing the vibrant culture and community that Charlotte has to offer.  Beyond my professional journey, I take the greatest pride in being a mother. I am the proud parent of a 21- year-old daughter who is in her senior year at North Carolina A&T State University. Watching her thrive academically and prepare for her future has been one of the most rewarding experiences. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places around the world, and indulging in a little shopping along the way. Balancing career, motherhood, and personal growth has shaped me into someone who values resilience, adaptability, and the importance of creating a fulfilling life. 

Fatina Williams

Co-Director of Community Outreach

Fatina Williams is a proud U.S. military veteran who served with honor in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. After her service, she brought the same discipline, leadership, and adaptability to corporate America, thriving as a Support Manager for leading tire companies.

Fatina’s life’s work bridges service, creativity, and community. Fatina has also been a licensed stylist for over 21 years and the owner of a successful salon for 9 years, providing not just beauty services, but a safe, affirming space for clients to feel seen and empowered. She approaches every role with compassion, purpose, and a deep commitment to those she serves. Fatina’s life is a tapestry of servant leadership and joy woven from threads of resilience, faith, and an unshakable belief in the beauty of family & community. 

Erika Corprew

Co-Director of Community Outreach

Erika Corprew is a seasoned leader in Global Business Operations at IQVIA, bringing over 30 years of experience in clinical research and operational strategy. As Director of Contracts & Proposals, Erika drives strategic initiatives that enhance contract negotiation, proposal development, and operational excellence.

Her passion for analytics and clinical research is rooted in a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes through data-driven solutions. 

A proud alumna of North Carolina A&T State University, Erika earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is also the Co-Director of Community Outreach for the Aggie Moms Scholarship & Resource Foundation (AMSRF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering NC A&T students and their families. 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Erika enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband, Joe Corprew, and their three adult children Shavonna, DeMoyia, and Jalen. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and remains deeply committed to community engagement and mentorship. Erika has been a devoted member of Wake Chapel Church since 1994, where she serves as a Thrive Coordinator in the Children’s Church and as a Gatekeeper in the Usher Ministry.
