I was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina, the only daughter among five brothers. My mother, a single parent, instilled in me the importance of education and independence lessons that continue to guide my journey today. Surrounded by a large, loving family that now includes nieces, nephews, and even great-nieces and nephew, I learned early on the value of community, support, and perseverance. After more than a decade in ERP consulting and technology leadership, I founded the Aggie Moms Scholarship and Resource Foundation (AMSRF) to give back to the community that shaped me. As a proud Aggie mom, my son Joshua is an NC A&T alumnus and electrical engineer, I’ve seen firsthand the sacrifices families make to support their students. Those experiences, along with my lifelong journey with NC A&T, a journey that first took root in 1992 and continues to grow today as I further my education, inspired me to create a foundation that ensures students and families have the resources, scholarships, and emergency support they need to thrive. 

I also own Travel With a Purpose, LLC, a boutique travel business that curates journeys, blending luxury with meaningful experiences. Just as I believe travel connects people and creates memories, I believe education connects students to their future and creates opportunities that last a lifetime. My mission with AMSRF is simple: to build a supportive, empowering community where students don’t just survive college, they excel. By combining my professional expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and personal commitment to education, I want to ensure that every student has the chance to walk across that graduation stage with confidence and support behind them.
